During the trial, new evidences. Two days after Martin Brown,4, was found dead, a nursery school in the area was broken into, and vandalized.

The childishly scribbled notes included “We did murder Martin Brown…” and “I murder so that I may come back”. Mary admitted it was just for “a giggle”.

During her incarceration, while awaiting trial, Mary commented: “I like hurting little things that can’t fight back”.

Mary’s lack of emotions, unresponsiveness, and strange behavior led psychiatrists to label her as psychopathic.

Since her release from prison in 1980, she has lived under a series of pseudonyms. Her identity has been protected by a court order, also extended to protect her daughter’s identity.

In 1998, Mary Bell collaborated with Gitta Sereny on an account of her life, “Cries Unheard the Story of Mary Bell”, in which she details the abuse she suffered as a child at the hands of her mother, a prostitute, and her mother’s clients.

Brenda Ann Spencer the Grover Cleveland Elementary School shooter - Female MurderersOn the morning of Monday, January 29, 1979, a 16-year-old girl, Brenda Ann Spencer began shooting with a .22-caliber rifle from her home across the street at children who were waiting to get inside Cleveland Elementary School.

Principal Burton Wragg, 53, was killed while trying to help the children. Custodian Mike Suchar, 56, was killed while trying to pull Wragg to safety.

Eight children and a police officer responding to a call for assistance during the incident were shot in the neck as he arrived.

After firing thirty rounds of ammunition, Spencer barricaded herself inside her home.

During the shooting, a reporter phoned houses near the school looking for information reaching Spencer, who freely admitted the Brenda Ann Spencer that confirmed be the shooter and while asked the reason for such act the teenager answered “I don’t like Mondays”, she ate that she do not recall saying that.

Brenda finished the interview by announcing, “I have to go now. I shot a pig , I think, and I want to shoot some more.”

During the seven hours, while barricaded inside the house and armed with 200 rounds of ammunition, she also told negotiators, “It was a lot of fun seeing children shot.”

Brenda Ann Spencer pleaded guilty to two counts of murder and assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison .

Under the terms of her indeterminate sentence, in 1993 Spencer became eligible for hearings to consider her suitability for parole.

In 2009 the parole board ruled Spencer would be denied parole, and would not be considered for the next 10 years. She will become eligible to have a Board of Parole Hearing in 2019.

According to Bob Geldof, Brenda Ann Spencer was the inspiration for the song “I Don’t Like Mondays” from Geldof’s band the Boomtown Rats.

In 2006 was release a documentary for TV with the title “I Don’t Like Mondays” about The Cleveland Elementary School shooting.

On January 17, 1989, 10 years later, Patrick Purdy, a disturbed drifter and former Stockton resident, fired 106 rounds in three minutes, killing five children and wounding twenty-nine others, including one teacher.

The alarm detail is that it was another school named Cleveland Elementary, this one in Stockton, California, what fits perfect in Loren Coleman’s theory presented in the book “The Copycat Effect: How the Media and Popular Culture Trigger the Mayhem in Tomorrow’s Headlines”

Suzane von Richthofen - Red Baron Young Female MurdersManfred von Richthofen was a great nephew of fighter pilot Baron von Richthofen, the German World War I flying ace known as the Red Baron.

Suzane von Richthofen, who was sentenced in 2006 to 39 years in prison for the murder of parents in 2002, with help from her boyfriend and his brother.

She planned the murder of her parents, Manfred and Marísia, for months, Daniel Cravinhos and his brother, 26-year-old Christian Cravinhos, hit them with iron bars before strangling them with towels.

After the murder was accomplished, the three youngsters simulated a break-in by pocketing money they found, spreading papers in the library, and creating a mess in the house.

They left and returned in the morning, calling the police, that was not fooled and after a short investigation arrested the trio.

The most twisted event in this sad history is that according to Brazilian laws, in the semi-open regime, Suzane would have gotten a temporary release to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 8, 2016.

By law prisoners in the semi-open regime are entitled to five temporary outlets per year, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Children’s Day and Christmas/New Year.

All sad but true female murderers.
