Lake Anten UFO Landing Incident

Dozens of people observed a UFO in Lake Anten, Sweden, in 1970.

The next day marks derived from the landing of the strange object were found.

On August 29, 1970, an interesting UFO case occurred west of Lake Anten (40 kilometers northwest of Gothenburg), Sweden.

In this location and date, a strange mark was found in a garden of a small farm owned by Richard Johansson near the Lake Anten region in Sweden.

The mark corresponded to other landing marks of UFOs found around the world.

Several people from the region observed a strange reddish light flying over the area the night before the mark appeared.

The object had a size comparable to that of a full moon.

“I didn’t see or hear anything. I went to bed at 9 pm, but my room was opposite the house. I wasn’twasn’t particularly disturbed by the incident, but it was interesting for the region’s people. Everyone who was there took care not to destroy anything”.

Several neighbors of Richard Johansson observed a strange luminous object the night before the marks appeared.

One of them was Mr. Karlsson, owner of a nearby farm.

“I was going to bed. It was a little before midnight when I saw that the cars on the highway were stopped and with their lights off.

Then a boy came running and telling something about a red thing he saw above Enebacken, 500 meters away.

I went out to take a look, and I could see the strange reddish light. He was over the forest.

Only when I saw it, I heard the sound of it. This is what left me perplexed the most.

At first, I thought it was an airplane, but then I realized it couldn’t be that. It acted strangely; besides, it was round and had a bright and very red light.

It went up and down and then flew towards Enebacken. Its speed varied. Sometimes it floated silently only and then accelerated very quickly.

On one occasion the object was almost on the edge of the forest, only 200 meters away.

Then I saw some light rays coming from it.

They were yellowish-clear and seemed to come from the side of the red sphere, half the full moon’s size.

We observed outside for a while, but then we went in and observed through the window.

When I went to bed, it was 2:00 am, and the light was still there”.

Several witnesses to the Lake Anten UFO Landing Incident

Another witness was P. Nilsson, who was driving on the highway.

“My friend and I were driving on the road coming from Alingsas.

It was 11:15 or 11:30. We saw a red light moving up and down and coming back to the same place.

My friend stopped the car and we got out. The light was to our left, above Enebacken.

We watched it for about 10 minutes and then left.”

Another witness, Mrs. Olsson, stated:

“My husband and I were returning from a visit to some friends. We saw something like a car’scar’s rear light, reddish-yellowish.

At first, we thought it was an airplane, but later we concluded it wasn’twasn’t.

We looked at it for about 3 or 4 minutes. It was around 12:25 am”.

Mrs. E. Aronsson, in turn, stated:

“Just before 11:30, I saw with a friend a bright illuminated ball well above the top of the trees.

First I thought it was light but red and very bright”.

All these witnesses were to the east and Enebacken.

To the north of Enebacken other people also saw the strange object.

Although they were unaware of the reports from people south of Enebacken, their statements were identical in all details, including maneuvers, displacement, color, and position of the strange object.

One of the witnesses, Mr. E. Johansson, stated:

“I saw the red and bright ball above Enebacken around 11:45 pm. I was with my wife and another couple.

We estimated its size as a little smaller than the full moon. It moved up and down in the forest. We could also see something like a beam of light coming from the ground to the light. It was very nice to see.

The light was constant in brightness and created lines of illumination on the surface of Lake Haslingen.”

The witnesses to the north of Enebacken were distant, approximately 1 kilometer relative to where the phenomenon occurred.

Shortly after midnight, Mr. E. Johansson and another man took a car in an attempt to discover what that light was.

When they entered the highway toward Enebacken, another car stopped there.

Inside it was a young man who said they were also trying to find out what the strange object was.

While they were standing there, the light disappeared.

Mr. Johansson and his friend thought it was someone in Enebacken using a balloon or something like that, so they decided to go back home.

After arriving home, they could observe the strange object again.

Around 1:00 am, they stopped observing it and went to sleep.

To the east and west of Enebacken, there were also witnesses.

And they described the same things.

A triangular mark was found in a garden on Richard Johansson’s farm the following day. At each point of the triangle, a hole was 40 cm in diameter and 4 cm deep.

They were not equal, varying a bit in the edges and depth.

One was not round like the other two, which seemed to have been produced by some high-pressure jet.

Where is Lake Anten

Lake Anten is located 40 kilometers northwest of Gothenburg in Sweden.

In 1970, Lake Anten had a population of about 8,000 people. At that time, the economy was primarily based on agriculture, forestry, and fishing.

The area has plenty of sources of water.

The area around Lake Anten is rich in minerals, including iron ore, copper, limestone, and lead. Iron ore is an essential mineral in the region used to make steel.

Copper is used for electrical wiring, pipes, and other components.

Limestone is used in the production of cement and is also used in agriculture. Lead is a naturally occurring metal that is used in the production of batteries and other products.

It can also be used for radiation shielding and soundproofing. All these minerals are essential for the region’s economy and are used in various industries.

Analyses Lake Anten UFO Landing Incident

The case soon became news in the region, and a group of ufologists from Goteborgs Informations Center om Oidentifierade Flygande Foremal (GICOFF) were on the site investigating the facts.

The group interviewed witnesses and collected samples from inside the found mark and control samples outside the circle.

Part of the samples was analyzed at the Chalmers Institute of Technology, and another piece at the Institution for Nuclear Chemistry.

Different tests were performed on the samples. Soil samples were analyzed through a Hewlett Packard Multichannel Analyser, 54OOA.

This instrument allows the reading of the gamma radiation spectrum.

This test showed that there were no readings of gamma radiation in the reference sample (unaffected).

In the samples obtained inside the mark, 660 KeV of radiation was present in the piece itself, which did not change in the following weeks after the first tests.

Other UFO Incidents Similar to The Matadera UFO Encounter

Trans-en-Provence UFO Encounter

On the afternoon of January 8, 1981, a strange object landed on a farm near Trans-en-Provence village in the Var region of southeastern France.

This triggered an investigation by the French Gendarmerie, who collected soil and plant samples at the landing site and notified GEPAN, the official ufological research body of the French government, of the incident.

GEPAN then participated in the investigations, carrying out new collections and measurements at the site and passing information to the research laboratories.

The protagonist of this UFO incident was the 55-year-old farmer Renato Nicolai, who reported the event to the Gendarmerie.

He described the object as having the shape of two dishes put together and being approximately 1.5 meters long with a lead color.

He also noticed four openings with no smoke or fire emitted.

When the samples were collected 24 hours after the event, they were subjected to a series of physical and chemical tests in the SNEAP laboratory, electron diffraction studies at the University of Toulouse, ion bombardment mass spectrometry at the University of Metz, and biochemical analysis of the plant samples at the National Institute of Agronomy Research (INRA).

These tests showed that the mark was produced by a solid object with tremendous pressure at the site and revealed evidence of intense electromagnetic energy acting at the site.

The 1966 Tully Saucer Nest

The 1966 Tully Saucer Nest is one of Australia’s most mysterious and fascinating UFO landings.

On the morning of January 19, 1966, George Pedley, a 28-year-old farmer, was driving his tractor near Horseshoe Lagoon when he heard a loud noise.

He then saw a broad, gray, disc-shaped object with a convex top and bottom emerge from the swamp and quickly approach before making a shallow dive and vanishing at tremendous speed.

When Pedley returned to the area, he noticed a large circular area free of reeds in the middle of the pond, which had not been there a few hours before.

Pennisi and another man entered the water and discovered the plants were loose and could be swum under.

The edges of the mass of reeds had formed an angle that gave the impression of a large saucer. Pennisi took several photos of the strange mark, and the plants on the edge of the spot quickly turned brown at the top.

The Tully Saucer Nest is in North Queensland, Australia, a region renowned for its gold, copper, silver, and lead mineral resources.

The investigation was conducted to prove that the mark was produced by helicopters, large birds, crocodiles, or any other natural origin. Samples were collected and sent to Brisbane for analysis, but nothing unusual was detected.

The Royal Australian Air Force offered that the mark was produced by a “willy-willy.” However, this theory fails to explain the Pedley sighting.

To date, this UFO Landing incident remains unexplained.
