Kids left to play Pokemon Go and comeback with Frogman of Loveland video

Remember the Frogman of Loveland, Ohio, we reported last month? Well, it is back, at least according to two Pokemon Go Hunters, if the story wasn’t already strange enough.

According to WCPO, on August 3, 2016, Sam Jacobs and his girlfriend were hunting Pokemon between Loveland Madeira Road and Lake Isabella in Loveland, Ohio when they spotted a creature in the water.

“We saw a huge frog near the water,” Jacobs wrote in an email to WCPO. “Not in the game, this was an actual giant frog.”

Jacobs realized he needed to have a prove for what he was seeing, they stopped playing “Pokemon Go” and decided to take photos and recording a short video.

“Then the thing stood up and walked on its hind legs. I realize this sounds crazy, but I swear on my grandmother’s grave this is the truth,” he wrote.

“The frog stood about 4 feet tall.”

At that point Jacobs did not realize that he had witnessed the Frogmen of Loveland, he says he had no knowledge of the creature prior to that day.

Only when they returned to Jacobs’ girlfriend’s home, her parents told them about the legend of the Frogmen of Loveland.

Understand the Legend of the Frogman of Loveland

About three and four foot tall, bipedal, humanoid, webbed hands and feet, a reptilian skin and to top it off with “frog-like” head, this is the description that witness give to the Frogmen of Loveland, Ohio.

First sighted in 1955 and in the seventies it was witness by two police officers in two different opportunities.

Officer Mathews was driving into Loveland when the creature jumped to land into a “crouched” position. Following his trained instincts Officer Mathews pulled his gun and open fire.

The Frogman was injuries but managed to step over the guardrail, while staring to the officer and again disappear in the river. The police officer described the crypto with the same details of the other officer but with a key shape difference, a tail.

Year past and Officer Mark Mathews deny the details of his encounter, what he saw as a large reptile, that probably “escaped from its owner”.

But others witness have seen the creature since then, beside Sam Jacobs and his girlfriend.

Officer who shot Frogman of Loveland in 1972 sustained the story is a hoax

The former police officer Mark Mathews, who allegedly shot the Loveland Frogman over 40 years ago contacted WCPO.

He explained that the story is a hoax, and the creature was just a sickly iguana.

Mathews says he did not believe in Ray Shockey when he called him to tell about the strange creature he spotted.

“Naturally, I didn’t believe him … but I could somehow tell from his demeanor that he did see something”

About two weeks later was Officer Mathews turn to see something run across the road, but according to him it wasn’t walking upright and didn’t climb over the guardrail. The creature crawled under the guardrail.

“I know no one would believe me, so I shot it,” he said.

He took the creature to show Officer Shockey, that confirmed it was the creature he had seen, a 3-3.5 feet Iguana, missing its tail.

He added that he told the whole story to the author of a book about the Frogmen of Loveland, including the iguana part but the author ended the story after he shot the creature.

Mathews moved to Florida and still is bothered by people inquiring about the Frogman

“It’s like Bigfoot and all that other stuff, I don’t believe in Bigfoot either.”

So, what is in the photo and videos shot by Sam Jacobs on August 3, 2016?
