A Cape Coral man was hospitalized Sunday after he accidentally shot himself in the leg while practicing his quick-draw technique.
According to a Lee County Sheriff’s Office report:
Lazaro Flores, 50, was at his girlfriend’s house in Alva practicing in the back yard with a .32 caliber 1871 revolver when he accidentally kept his finger on the trigger while holstering the weapon.
The pistol discharged, and Flores shot himself in the lower right leg.
Flores was taken to Gulf Coast Hospital, where the bullet was removed and he was treated for his injury.
